Henkel Corp. has introduced a line of products for photovoltaic manufacturing and installation.

The green-colored pre-applied Nyseal sealing element from Nylok Corp. is said to eliminate application of O-rings, gasket seals and sealant compounds by creating a gasket-like seal at pressures up to 500 psi. The coating is said to be permanently fused on the bearing surface of the fasteners, eliminates the leak path and will not work loose. It is also said to prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar materials, is highly durable and will not shrink or dry out from age.

Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant is a one-component silicone sealant with non-sagging consistency that is said to cure to form a tough and flexible rubber when exposed to moisture in the air at room temperature. Dow Corning 732 Multi-Purpose Sealant remains stable and flexible from -60° to 180°C, with short peaks up to 205°C.

For use on threaded fasteners located on food- and beverage-processing equipment, Henkel Corporation has introduced Loctite 2046, a medium strength, removable two-part anaerobic threadlocker that fully complies with the U.S. Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and with all applicable food additive regulations including 21 C.F.R. 175.300.

The Orbitform Group has announced a Spiralform cartridge into its standard product line. Spiralform displaces material using an eleven-sided spiral pattern similar to those created by the old Spirograph drawing toy. As the forming tool contacts the surface, material is said to uniformly flow out from the centre, providing superior strength and surfacing.

The DYMAX Edge Carry Series of conveyors is designed for efficient handling of a variety of parts such as printed circuit boards that are populated on two sides, or palletized components. The conveyor series is said to provide seamless transition from upstream assembly/dispense systems with inline transport capability.

Devcon liquid Flexane compounds are suitable for a variety of applications including strain relief, potting and encapsulating, forming non scratching holding fixtures, and edging and sealing felt belts and dryer fabric in the paper industry. Also used for patching cable jackets after splicing, these castable, nonshrinking, waterproof urethanes hold up indoors or outdoors under conditions of abrasion, vibration, and temperature cycling. They withstand service temperatures ranging to 350°F.
