INVERTER DRIVE ICS FOR LCD BACKLIGHTING |

 Fairchild Semiconductor has introduced integrated CCFL backlight inverter drive ICs that eliminate up to 30 external components. The model FAN7316 and FAN7317 ICs are said to provide better system reliability and simplified design for N-N half-bridge, push-pull, and P-N full-bridge LCD backlight inverter designs. The units feature a wide input voltage range, and built-in open lamp protection and open lamp regulation circuit.
The integrated CCFL backlight inverter drive ICs also feature selectable dimming polarity and analog and burst dimming functions.
