CORONA RESISTANT STATOR RTD PDF Print E-mail
ImageWith motor manufacturers using variable speed drives for flexibility and high performance, corona related problems have escalated, according to Minco. PWM inverters can create high voltage spikes exceeding 1600 V. The Corona Resistant Stator RTD from Minco is said to combat corona related problems.

Benefits include:
No need for expensive reactors or filters for the sensors;
Protects against high voltage spikes:
Designed for ac motors with variable frequency drives;
Proprietary design resists detrimental effects of corona;
Protect expensive motors with an inexpensive over-temperature warning system;
Tested to 10,000 VAC without failure (greater than 4000 h to date);
