 Durex Industries has introduced an RTD temperature sensor designed for monitoring air and various gas temperatures. A machined tip designed to maximize airflow over a miniature platinum film element is said to provide rapid response to incremental changes in application temperature. Platinum sensors uniform to DIN 43760, IEC 751, (class A and B) and JIS 3920 specifications. Lead wire materials are typically Teflon insulated or fibreglass insulated for higher temperature ranges. The designs can be manufactured in 2-, 3- and 4-wire configurations.

Wired into the desired 6 to 28 V system, the PSM board allows control of up to six different devices. Switch action can be set independently for each channel to "alternate" or "momentary." Lighting intensity can be adjusted for both backlighting (green) and switch status (red) indicator LEDs.
