 The HVI 2K-750/24 high input voltage dc/dc converter from Absopulse Electronics Ltd. uses field proven design topology to generate 2 kW output power. It accepts 750 Vdc input voltage (525 to 975 Vdc range), which is the traction voltage typically required for mining locomotives and mass transit vehicles such as trams, metros and light rail.
The standard unit delivers 24 Vdc, with other output voltages available on request. An optional built-in redundancy diode allows for a number of units to be connected in parallel to achieve higher output power or N+1 redundancy. The converter meets the requirements of EN50155 for electronic equipment used on rolling stock. It is filtered to meet EN 50121-3-2 EMI/EMC.
Ruggedizing and conformal coating provide immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture and airborne contaminants. The unit is fan cooled and rated for -25? to 45?C for full specification, with wider temperature ranges available.
