 Hansen Corp. has announced a brushless dc motor series developed by its parent company, NMB-Minebea. The motor family has a 1 in. outside diameter, with lengths from 0.5 to 1 in. The 3-phase brushless dc motor includes 3 Hall sensors. With a 12-pole design, positioning feedback of 36 ppr without an additional encoder is available.
By using brushless dc motor technology, the motor is able to produce a continuous maximum power of 3 W and efficiency values of more than 70%. The motors are equipped with 2 NMB ball bearings.
