 Intelligent Motion Systems has announced that its MdrivePlus integrated motor and current control electronics units now combine with screw-driven slides to provide linear speed and accurate positioning with smooth motion and low noise. Speeds of more than 60 ips are attainable with standard linear slide leads of 0.10, 0.20, 0.50 and 1.00 in. travel per revolution, said to rival belts and cables while offering good positioning accuracy, repeatability and axial stiffness. The slide includes a aluminum guide and wear-compensating, anti-backlash driven carriage with precision rolled stainless steel lead screw.
Slots accommodate sensor bracket mounting onto the slide, with provisions for mounting a flag onto the carriage.
