Science World British Columbia recently received a boost with the creation of a North American first: the Engineering Lab by the James Dyson Foundation. Founder James Dyson talks about the importance of attracting young people to technology and technical career opportunities.
The Engineering Lab features a tangle of tall tubes and valves that encourage experimentation with air flow. “Inventing and creating must be encouraged and Canada has a wonderful legacy of engineering and innovative research and development,” explained James Dyson.

“Science World is a wonderful place and it’s been great fun to collaborate with them to create the Engineering Lab. We hope it will help inspire Canada’s young inventors, engineers and designers of the future to continue to be curious about the world. That is the most essential element of innovation,” said Dyson.
