The Sustainability module inside SolidWorks 3D CAD software is just one part of the end-to-end strategy from Dassault Systèmes, according to Asheen Phansey, product manager, Sustainability. He sat down with DPN editorial director Mike Edwards at SolidWorks World 2012 in San Diego and related how designers can create more sustainable products before they are sent to manufacturing. Besides SolidWorks Sustainability, Dassault tools such as Delmia and Materials Compliance Central in Enovia make it easier for designers to adopt a sustainable product creation philosophy.
