UL offers certification customers mobile access to standards
Written by Dan Comand November 24, 2011
As a world leader in developing safety standards, UL is now offering a new premium service that provides customers with access to UL's Standards Certification Customer Library ("SCCL") via their smart phones.
The service, called UL SMART Docs(TM), is available for a subscription fee to all registered SCCL users who currently have access to the certification customers standards library.
With UL SMART Docs, customers have instant access to the most up-to-date information, right at their fingertips. Users can instantly access their recently viewed standards, the latest changes and additions, or view their own libraries in a single click without a login. UL SMART Docs is optimized to run on a smart phone or other devices that can access a mobile website, without the need to install additional software.
"Instant access to standards and updates can be vital to engineers or professionals in the field or in research labs," says Bob Williams, UL Vice President - Standards. "With SMART Docs, UL is doing its part in helping our certification customers manage projects quicker and more efficiently by making the entire library of UL standards easily accessible through their smart phones."
