In an effort to streamline and enhance communication with the engineering community, leading linear motion control systems and components manufacturer Nook Industries has recently launched a multi-functional interactive blog site.
The newly designed information and social media ‘hub’ incorporates advanced programming and search functionality that allows engineers to quickly access comprehensive and timely technical product data, video, news, micro-sites, polling and tutorials, amongst others (http://Blog.nookindustries.com).

Additionally, Nook's blog connectivity with other major social media frameworks (Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) completes Nook’s galvanization with the engineering community to send out information and receive feedback to match their linear motion criteria on a real-time basis. Beyond the sites' community login and advanced search functionality, the state-of-the art blog programming also promotes streamlined solutions for multi-market product data, corporate access, and education including:

• Advanced social media plug-ins
• Drag to share product gallery
• Interactive polling
• User commenting
• 3D CAD configuration & operation tutorials
• Linear motion News blog
• "How to" Video Blog
• Product details
• Resource sharing
• Product catalog & directory
• User content subscriptions

According to Nook Industries' CEO, Christopher Nook, "With our comprehensive linear motion product line and technological capabilities portfolio it was vital to develop a social media platform that incorporated the latest programming and functionality to provide added value and versatility for our customers and the entire linear motion engineering community.  Also, given our firm international presence, this assures that all engineers can communicate with us daily with just a click."
