Lee Spring Solid Gold online CAD support system

Written by  Gillian Marsh September 02, 2010

Lee Spring has introduced Solid Gold, a free online CAD support system service for users of their online catalog.

The system allows users to “not only view and manipulate images of Lee Spring’s 17,000-plus Stock Springs, but also to download 3D or 2D CAD models,” said Lee Spring. Solid Gold supports all major 3D and 2D platforms and can also be useful to non-CAD users as they can save viewed imagines as JPEG or TIF files.

Users can use the drag and drop feature to add the selected part to their existing design. All compression springs, extension springs or torsion springs can be found through their search engine online.

  • Piston sealing systems reduce friction

Simrit has developed the Friction Piston Seal T-ring (TR) 200. With the low friction piston seal TR 200, Simrit presents an innovative sealing geometry for the smooth operation of pneumatic cylinders with significantly increased efficiency. Reducing friction by up to 50% compared to conventional systems, the low friction piston seal TR 200 shows minimal wear after 15 million cycles. The dynamic sealing function of the low friction piston seal TR 200 is achieved by a sealing area with a large radius.
