Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. has appointed Derek Unger as its first employee and account manager, based in the Saskatoon area.
Endress+Hauser’s growth strategy is centred on stable and measured growth – a strategy that has proven successful in Montreal, Calgary and Edmonton. The company decided to launch a Saskatchewan office due to a growing list of regional customers, a desire to offer heightened levels of customer service and the growth of the Saskatchewan industry.
“Derek Unger and I were both raised in Saskatchewan,” said Richard Lewandowski, General Manager for Endress+Hauser Canada. “As a local, I know the process industries in Saskatchewan will welcome an experienced and local contact from Endress+Hauser. Derek’s appointment reflects our commitment to meeting and exceeding the needs of customers across the region.”
Derek joins the company after an impressive series of positions in sales and service in the industrial and instrumentation sectors. In preparation for his new responsibilities, Derek recently completed a training program at Endress+Hauser’s Canadian head office in Burlington, Ontario.
“Over the past few years, I’ve watched Endress+Hauser grow its business here,” says Derek Unger. “I am delighted to join its ranks, especially as the first official team member in the province. There’s growth potential in Saskatchewan and I know that Endress+Hauser is well equipped, staffed and motivated to seize the potential in our emerging market.”
