In his new position, Carroll is responsible for selling the complete Hirschmann product line: Hirschmann Automation, EDM tooling packages, integrated fixturing for wire and sinking EDMs, Hirschmann’s own integrated robotic loaders, the EROBOT Series, rotary indexing tables, Ionoplus synthetic dielectric fluid, and other synthetic machining fluids from Oel-Held. His knowledge of high-tech machine tools and their need for workholding systems that will help make his customers more productive and competitive, the company says.

Carroll resides in Newmarket, Ontario, where he was most recently employed by Mitsubishi EDM/Laser. He assisted in the opening of Mitsubishi’s Canadian Sales and Technical Center in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Trained in manufacturing engineering, Carroll began his career as a tooling engineer for a plastics manufacturer. This led to sales and management positions in the machine tool industry, before joining Mitsubishi. In addition, Carroll was a joint owner of a Charmilles Distributorship in Canada, where he sold the complete Charmilles product line.
