Celestica Inc. – a printed circuit board assembly contract manufacturer – announced it completed the acquisition of Allied Panels Entwicklungs-und Produktions Gmbh – a medical engineering and manufacturing service provider.
This acquisition is to expand and broaden Celestica’s capabilities in the healthcare diagnostics and imaging market to include a centre in Europe. The company will now be referred to as AlliedPanels – a Celestica healthcare company. Details are not disclosed.
“This acquisition represents a critical step in executing our healthcare strategy to deliver deep technical capability, engineering skills and regulatory expertise to our customers through strategically located regional healthcare centers of excellence,” said Sandra Ketchen, vice president, healthcare, Celestica. “I am pleased to be working with Allied Panels to drive Celestica's healthcare strategy.”
