Brave Control Solutions named one of Canada’s top new growth companies
Written by Dan Comand September 11, 2011Automation systems integrator Brave Control Solutions Inc. has been named one of Canada’s top new growth companies in the 12th annual PROFIT HOT 50 ranking.
The PROFIT HOT 50 is the definitive ranking of Canada’s Top New Growth Companies. Published in the October issue of PROFIT magazine and online at PROFITguide.com, the PROFIT HOT 50 ranks young firms by two-year revenue growth.
Being only the second Windsor-Essex county firm to ever be nominated to the list, the honour is particularly sweet for business partners Brent McPhail and Joe Aarssen. Neither McPhail nor Aarssen are natives of Windsor, but chose to found the company in Windsor despite the encouragement by family and friends to return to their respective home towns.
“Windsor is a great place to do business” says Aarssen. “The automation expertise in WindsorEssex County is tremendous. Partnering with this amazing technical community has allowed us to compete throughout North America against much larger organizations. Our growth of 1100% over a 2-year period during the toughest recession in history tells us we made the right decision to stay here.”
“The PROFIT HOT 50 exhibit all the traits that underpin business success,” says PROFIT editor Ian Portsmouth. “With good products, persistent and focused leaders and motivated teams, Canada’s Top New Growth Companies have achieved enviable growth rates despite a shaky economy.”
