All Carlo Gavazzi manufacturing facilities now ISO 14001:2004 certified

Written by  Gillian Marsh September 02, 2010

Carlo Gavazzi’s manufacturing locations worldwide have all been certified according to the International Standard ISO 14001:2004.

The ISO 14001 is “the world’s most recognized standard for establishing and maintaining an effective Environmental Management System (EMS),” said Carlo Gavazzi. In order to obtain the certification, the company must demonstrate a commitment to reduce the environmental impact through responsible and compliant actions.

All Carlo Gavazzi factories of the Automation Component Business Unit are improving their EMS framework and “implementing measurable programs to manage and reduce the impact on the environment.” The compliances are verified periodically by independent accredited third parties.

  • Piston sealing systems reduce friction

Simrit has developed the Friction Piston Seal T-ring (TR) 200. With the low friction piston seal TR 200, Simrit presents an innovative sealing geometry for the smooth operation of pneumatic cylinders with significantly increased efficiency. Reducing friction by up to 50% compared to conventional systems, the low friction piston seal TR 200 shows minimal wear after 15 million cycles. The dynamic sealing function of the low friction piston seal TR 200 is achieved by a sealing area with a large radius.
