FRABA Inc. approved to join Rockwell Automation’s Encompass program

May 2009 - FRABA Inc., a producer of advanced industrial sensor technology, has been approved as an Encompass Product Partner in the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork. Through Encompass Product Partners, customers can locate complementary products to solve different application challenges. The products are critical components of connectivity solutions that extend and enhance Rockwell Automation installations.
FRABA’s INTACTON brand non-contact encoders use optical metrology which provides significant benefits over contact-type sensors such as rotary encoders with measuring wheels. Measurement problems, such as slippage are avoided, even when working with hot, elastic, highly sensitive, or “dough-like” materials. With two complementary types available - the high-precision COVIDIS series and the compact, cost effective OPTIPACT series - INTACTON non-contact encoders can be used for a wide range of applications.
FRABA POSITAL’s inclinometers are said to provide high resolution, highly accurate measurements of angles and inclination for many applications.
“We are very pleased to become a member of the Encompass program”, says Christian Fell, VP of FRABA Inc. “We feel that it highlights FRABA’s growing presence in the North American industrial automation marketplace.”
