Wireless energy-harvesting devices reduce need for building wiring
Written by Mike Edwards July 22, 2009Wires and cables in buildings are mostly used to reach switches and sensors, just so people can turn off lights, live with comfortable air conditioning and heating, and possibly adjust motorized window blinds. Wouldn’t it be great if wireless devices could provide all of this control, as well as do it without the need for battery power?
