Aries Electronics has introduced a RoHS-compliant version of its SOIC to DIP Correct-A-Chip adapter. The adapter offers a method of upgrading to an SOIC without changing the PCB layout. The top of the adapter accepts SOIC D or SOIC L packages and the bottom is available in DIP pin counts from eight through 28 pins. The adapter is available on 0.3, 0.4 or 0.6 in. pitch centres.
The suggested PCB hole diameter is 0.028 in. The maximum operating temperature is 200°C. All tolerances are 0.005 in.
