DPN WEB EXCLUSIVE: EMX Industries has introduced the UVX 300, a UV luminescence sensor said to detect targets more reliably than vision systems that typically cost 10x more.
The unit has an operating distance to 350 mm and a feedback response time of 6 kHz. Relative reflection and threshold intensity readings are numerically displayed. Hysteresis can be user controlled. An optional 50 mm lens will concentrate the spot of projected UV light into a 5 mm spot.
