The GEMCO series 950 Mill-Duty Housing from AMETEK Automation & Process Technologies was designed for applications where mounting a stand-alone, rod style linear displacement transducer (LDT) is prohibited due to potential physical damage, harsh operating and/or demanding environmental conditions, or where mounting limitations exist.

The housing is available in lengths ranging from two inches to over 20 feet. It consists of a 304 stainless steel body, barrel, piston, head and trunnion mount bracket. The assembly head is removable to allow installation of a rod style LDT, which screws into a standard ¾-in.- 16 x 1.00 mounting thread. Metric threads are an option. The head contains a ½-inch NPT conduit port for wiring the LDT.
