Heraeus Sensor Technology Brazil has introduced two miniature ceramic wirewound Platinum temperature sensors offering a wide operating temperature range and high measurement stability. Types KN1008 and KN3005, with diameters of 0.8 and 0.5 mm, can be used in applications said to be previously off-limits to wirewound elements due to size constraints. In addition, the small diameter results in response times of >0.2 s (T0.5, water current 0.4 m/s).
The elements are supplied in accordance with the IEC 60751 specification. Possible applications include life science instrumentation, gas
chromatography, laboratory freezers & ovens, spectrometers, lasers,
chemical processing, power generation, thermoelectric devices, pH
sensors, conductivity cells, in vitro diagnostics, digital
thermometers, calorimeters, flow sensors and gas detectors.
