Cost-effective reversing electric actuators

Hayward Flow Control Systems announced availability of their new line of reversing electric actuators and accessories for a wide range of valve automation applications.

Hayward’s new corrosion-resistant EPM, EPS, and EPL Series electric actuators are available in a variety of quarter-turn reversing, quarter-turn reversing spring return, and linear drive models. EPM Series Reversing Actuators are designed for use with all ball and butterfly valves up to 24” (600 mm) in size, provide torque outputs from 300 (34 Nm) to 13500 in. lbs. (1525 Nm), and are available with positioners for special on/off or modulating requirements. EPS Series Reversing Spring Return Electric Actuators are designed for use with all ball and butterfly valves up to 8” (200 mm) in size, provide torque outputs from 450 (51 Nm) to 2300 in. lbs.(260 Nm), and are available with a clockwise or counter-clockwise spring return depending upon application requirements. EPL Series Linear Drive Actuators easily adapt to most rising stem designs, provide up to 4400 lbs.(1996 tq) down/up force, and up to 4” (100 mm) stem travel for diaphragm valves.

A variety of options such as positioners, extended duty motors, 0-90° - 180°, feedback potentiometer, two additional auxiliary switches, local control stations, 12/24 VDC and VAC, 120/230 VAC (50/60 Hz), and 3 phase w/230 VAC, 380 VAC, or 460 VAC (50/60 Hz) are available depending upon the model selected.
