Pittman brand slotted brushless dc motors incorporate internal Hall sensor feedback for linear speed-torque characteristics, high starting torque, and variable speed control (with appropriate control electronics).
A 6-slot lamination design said to contribute to high power, fast
acceleration, consistent operation, and long service life. The motors
(2.3 in. diameter) are available in four stack lengths (1/2, 1, 1-1/2
and 2 in.) and feature neodymium iron boron magnets.
Speeds up to 8000 rpm and continuous torque up to 49 oz in. (75 oz in. with heat sink) can be achieved. The mounting configuration is consistent with NEMA 23. Modular motor design facilitates motor customization with On-Motor brand controllers and components, including modified shafts, multiple windings, electromechanical brakes and optical encoders.
