SELF-LUBRICATING ROD END BEARINGS
J. W. Winco, Inc., has announced threaded stem or tapped type self-lubricating rod end bearings in metric sizes. The rod end body is made of zinc-plated steel, while the ball socket is made of bearing steel, 100 Cr6, hardened and ground.
The external ring is made of a special bronze material said to make the
rod ends self-lubricating and maintenance-free. Additionally, the
joints are also said to offer a longer life expectancy than rod ends
with a PTFE surface, due to less increase of clearance after long
operating hours. Operating temperature is rated at -30? to 150?C.
Rod end bearings are used in controlling and linking mechanisms in all types of machines. They are suitable for high-load, low-speed applications with hanging angles, or that require linear, rotational or oscillatory motions.
