Tested to 40 million cycles, Posidyne X Class oil-shear clutch/brakes from Force Control Industries are said to provide 2x to 5x higher cycle speeds and up to 10x the service life of conventional dry clutch brakes.
Available in four model sizes fitting drives up to 10 hp, the clutch/brakes delivers cycle speeds of 200 CMP and above, and 20 ms response. Torque ratings from 100 to 1000 in. lb are covered.
