Nexen has announced the Mechanical Torque Limiter. The use of the limiter is said to isolate the driving from the driven elements within milliseconds. Torque limiters are factory set to the lowest torque within the torque range. Key features and benefits include: precise overload protection; backlash-free and torsionally rigid; low residual friction following disengagement; low moment of inertia; double bearing support of pulley/sprocket; adjustable without removal from the application; and, indexed torque adjustment.
