Large lead sizes for high speed ballscrews

DPN WEB EXCLUSIVE: Steinmeyer, Inc. has announced two new sizes, with large leads, to its UltraSpeed line of ground ball screws. The new sizes are 30 x 40 (30 mm diameter with 40 mm lead) and 65 x 80 (65 mm diameter with 80 mm lead).
The UltraSpeed series ball screws, have a DN rating of 160,000, enable
very high speed operation. Through advanced thread grinding technology,
and lead to diameter ratios from 0.5:1 to greater than 1:1, linear
velocities of 4000 ips are possible, at accelerations of 2 g and
higher. The series is based on a new ball return system that uses
precision ball deflectors to guide the balls into a return channel
spanning the entire nut length.
