The Type RU Roller Ring from THK features double-row roller structure and integrated inner and outer rings said to result in 20 to 30% higher rigidity than competitor models. The Type RU's use of small rollers is also said to reduce differential slip and therefore the torque required for rotation is small. Installing the unit is simplified due to the inclusion of mounting holes on the inner and outer rings.
Housings and presser flanges are not required, and few assembly parts are needed.
