Nexen Group, Inc. has announced a linear motion control device, the Static Rod Lock. The spring engaged, air released rod lock is designed to clamp and hold cylinder rods and shafts up to 32.0 mm.
Rod locks function as holding mechanisms on pneumatic cylinders, and guide rods. Units include: stand alone and ISO or NFPA cylinder mounted; backlash of 0.000 to 0.003 in.; fitting air cylinder rod diameters of 16, 20, 25, 32 mm and 0.625, 1.000, 1.375 in.; spring engaged/60 psi air released; blue anodized finish; IP67 rated for washdown; and, rated for >3,000,000 cycles.
