DPN WEB EXCLUSIVE: Parker Hannifin's Actuator Division has introduced P5S-P series Precision Slide Tables. The tables consist of a pneumatically actuated carriage table riding on four sets of stainless steel recirculating ball-bearing units on two guide rails.
A dual-cylinder piston-rod design, the tables can be mounted together
to provide precise x-y-z axes movement or x-z or y-z axes
pick-and-place movement. The series is available in cylinder-bore sizes
of 12, 16, 20 and 25 mm. Strokes provided range from 10 to 250 mm and
theoretical thrusts range from 130 N extension, 100 N retraction (12 mm
size) to 560 N extension, 430 N retraction (25 mm size) at 6 bar
pressure. Repeatability of all units is 0.03 mm.
