Zetex Semiconductors has introduced a single-phase motor pre-driver for variable or fixed speed control of single-phase brushless dc fans, blowers and pumps.
The ZXBM1015 pre-driver includes a current monitor that enables supply
current on start-ups and stall to be kept permanently within
specifications. The pre-driver produces a PWM output to drive an
external H-bridge that in turn drives the motor windings.
