BEI Kimco Magnetics has introduced an Integrated Motor Encoder Assembly that features a large diameter clear aperture with integral high resolution encoder. The assembly incorporates ABEC7 class precision ball bearings and a tightly toleranced hollow shaft configuration that is said to offer superior repeatability and wobble characteristics essential for optical applications requiring a large diameter clear aperture.
The optical encoder supports resolutions of up to 0.02 arc-sec. and the hall based commutation scheme allows for connectivity with a variety of standard motion controllers.
