Digital servo drives rated up to 3000 W

Parker Automation has announced three additions to the Aries line of all-digital servo drives. The drives' power levels quadruple the continuous power output of previous Aries units. A total of seven power levels are now available ranging from 100 to 3000 W of continuous motor shaft power.

That equates to 16A RMS continuous and 48A RMS peak current to quickly accelerate even the largest loads. Smart Encoder feedback automatically sets up the drive, while support for Endat multi-turn absolute encoders is said to dispense with limit switches and homing routines, and a DriveTalk feature communicates with the Aries drive without a serial connection.
