AllMotion Inc. has announced the dual axis EZHR17EN stepper motor controller and driver system. Units are 40 x 40 mm with encoder feedback that provides up to 2 A drive current for one axis and up to 1 A for the second with optional second stepper or bidirectional dc driver daughtercard. The EZHR17EN and daughtercard can microstep up to 1/256 and 1/16 steps, respectively.
The system gives positioning, acceleration and velocity capability to
any stepper motor that is 3 in. or smaller (NEMA size 23 or smaller).
First-time users are said to be able to make a stepper motor move as
commanded less than 30 min after opening the box.
