Intended for industrial control applications, the 8255-compatible OMG-USB-DIO48 from Omega has 48 channels of buffered digital I/O. The 8-bit ports are configurable as inputs or outputs, with 10K pull-up resistors on each port bit, which let users create customized input or output combinations.
The low order bit of the first port can be set to generate an interrupt
for status monitoring, and a factory-configurable feature lets users
request conditional I/O combinations for interrupt generation. The
product includes Windows programming samples.
