Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson, has introduced a line of triple-output 50 W switching power supplies. The Astec LPT50 series accepts universal input voltage (90 to 264 Vdc or 127 to 300 Vdc) and frequency (47 to 440 Hz) to provide a selection of standard DC positive outputs from 3.3 to 24 V, depending on the model.
With a footprint of 2 x 4 in., the units are rated for convection
cooling and offer 5.5 W per cubic inch, as well as deliver up to 9 A
from the primary output. Units feature overpower and short circuit
protection along with CISPR 22 Class B EMI filtering. The series is
also available with medical safety certifications designated by a -M on
the model number. Designed for 1U installations, models provide more
than 550,000 h MTBF.
The series complies with safety and performance standards including UL, CSA, TUV, as well as the EN61000-X susceptibility requirements. In addition the units feature a wide operating temperature range of 0° to 50°C, with a -20°C startup.
