SINE-WAVE INVERTER DELIVERS 5000 VA

Absopulse Electronics has announced the model CSI 5K sine wave inverter designed for heavy duty industrial, utility, mining and other harsh environment applications. The inverter delivers 5000 VA output power from a single 24, 36, 48, 125 or 250 Vdc input. It provides sinusoidal output voltage of 115 Vac continuous at 60 or 400 Hz, or 230 Vac continuous at 50Hz. The output is isolated from the input and is typically used in grounded neutral operation with an isolated floating output option available.

The 5 kVA inverter is housed in either a 6U x 19 in. x 18 in. (H x W x D) chassis or two stacked 3U x 19in. x 18 in. chassis, depending upon customer requirements. It is fan cooled and rated for full specification at 0° to 50°C, with extended temperature ranges available.

Built-in protection circuits include inrush current limiting, reverse polarity protection, output current limiting with short circuit protection, and thermal shut-down with automatic recovery in case of insufficient airflow. It is filtered to meet EN55022 Class A EMI as a minimum. It is also designed to meet international safety standards including EN60950 and related UL and CSA requirements.

Additional ruggedizing and conformal coating are available for applications requiring immunity to high levels of shock, vibration, humidity, moisture and airborne contaminants. Remote inhibit, an output fail alarm (Form C), custom input/output voltages, EN55022 Class B as well as a programmable soft-start feature are also available as options.
