SIGNAL CONDITIONING INSTRUMENTATION
Daytronic Corp. has announced a line of programmable signal conditioning instruments. The 5D module is a self-contained, configurable instrument. With pluggable screw-terminal connectors for installation and I/O field wiring, it can be used as an individual or "in-line" signal conditioner to provide stable, repeatable measurement results within an environment of high mechanical and/or electrical noise.
The 3000Plus panel meter is a modular, field-scalable indicator with
operator-programmable signal processing and PC/PLC communications. With
screw terminals for all power and I/O connections, the panel meter is
suitable for pump, motor, hydraulic and other high-noise monitoring
applications. An auxiliary output may be used for continuous limit
monitoring with TTL-level relay outputs, tare offset and high-speed
peak capture and hold.
The DataNode 16 hosts up to 16 mixed 5D conditioner modules that are said to create a stable front-end device for the acquisition, recording and transmission of data. Each external chassis is a software configurable, multichannel system for bringing low-level sensor signals to multiple plug-and-play devices. The instrument also features cross-channel calculations, continuous dual limit, monitoring and two independently programmable history recorders.
