ifm efector has introduced an RFID system for tracking and control throughout the manufacturing process. The system includes a read/write module and miniature ID tag that provides data transmission. The module combines three components in one -- a control interface, reader and antenna -- that measures 55 x 24 x 41 mm.
The module exchanges data with a re-usable ID tag at a distance of 20 mm. The system generates a 125 kHz electromagnetic field for reading and writing data.
