The Phoenix Contact Inline Block I/O module ILB PB 24 D18 DIO8 is said to provide the flexibility of a modular I/O system. The module adapts to applications with eight fixed inputs and eight freely assignable inputs/outputs. The function of each I/O channel in the Profibus network is assigned when an actuator or sensor is connected -- no parameters need to be set.
The 55 mm high Inline Block I/O system also interfaces with fieldbus
systems such as Interbus, CANopen and DeviceNet. The sensors and
actuators are connected using the two- or three-wire connection method;
no additional terminal levels are required.
