DPN WEB EXCLUSIVE: Bristol Babcock has announced the 3808 MVT multivariable, smart transmitter. The unit provides network communication as well as measurement of differential pressure, static pressure and process temperature with 0.075% reference accuracy.
The transmitter has been designed with remote site management in mind such as well sites and natural gas metering stations that often use battery and solar power systems. The current draw, <2 mA in most applications, is said to translate to savings in purchase costs of those power systems.
