Configurable industrial PCs provide flexibility

Phoenix Contact Canada has introduced the ValueLine line of industrial PCs. Units are available in a wide range of models, screen sizes and CPU choices to match the ValueLine PC to a wide variety of automation, process visualization and control applications.

Select features include fanless design, large 15- or 17-in. TFT touch screens, fast Core2Duo 1.5 GHz or Celeron M1.0 GHz CPUs, up to 4 GB DDR-RAM and 64 GB solid-state hard drive (SSHD) option. Dual, independent 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports make networking easy. Extended temperature range models are available for special applications. Several mounting options allow installation in various orientations, both inside and outside of the control enclosure.

Optional PCI slots can be added when the application requires connectivity to an I/O fieldbus or expansion with a third party PCI card. ValueLine's maintenance-friendly design is said to provide easy and quick access to the removable hard drive chassis, 2 CF slots and real-time clock battery.

A streamlined manufacturing process allows for fast delivery times of custom PC configurations to match PC performance to application requirements, the company says.
