KUKA Robotics Corp. has announced the KUKA KR5 SCARA robot line. The 4-axis robots, when combined with KUKA Robotics' PC-based control platform, is said to provide an easy-to-learn- and -use pick and place automation solution. The line includes 350 and 550 mm reach models and are capable of handling payloads up to 5 kg.
The robots' light weight is also said to provide optimum acceleration and maximum working velocities.
