Toray Plastics America has developed a versatile co-extruded high-clarity matte polyester. The patent-pending Lumirror FAS matte polyester film, made with Toray's proprietary nanotechnology, allows industrial and consumer-goods brand owners to specify the exact level of gloss desired, while maintaining clarity. The film is also FDA compliant, tack sealable and can be printed on. Among the variety of end uses for the film are labels, including pressure-sensitive labels for a wide range of durable goods, from automobiles to chain saws.
