Carpenter Technology Corp. has introduced 302HQ-SFQ stainless heading wire, said to provide all the properties needed for standard fastener quality (SFQ) material at what the company describes as a value price.
Nominal chemical composition is 0.025% carbon, 2% manganese, 0.045 % phosphorus, 0.03% sulfur, 1% silicon, 18% chromium, 9% nickel, 3.5% copper and the balance iron.
