IN-MOLD LABELING TECHNOLOGY

Manufacturers of household and industrial appliances, electronics, HVAC and other products can enhance their branding while lowering total applied label costs with Avery Dennison's Accu-Place In-Mold Labeling (APIML) technology. APIML enables manufacturers to incorporate preprinted labels into the production process for brand nameplates or other messaging areas without mold modification.

Because the label is molded into the part, permanence is said to be ensured, secondary decorating processes are eliminated and work-in-process inventories are reduced. The technology can be used with polypropylene, polyethylene, polycarbonate, nylon and ABS parts.

Using Avery Dennison's proprietary Accu-Tack technology, an in-mold label placed inside the mold is held in position as the part is being produced. The label bonds with the molten plastic, rendering a finished part with an embedded label. Contact: (440) 878-7239.
