Rittal has extended its range of air-water heat exchangers to include units of 5 and 7 kW that are designed to operate on 230 V, with 115 V versions available. For mounting on the roof or wall of electrical enclosures the units are equipped with modern electronic safety devices including condensate and leak sensors as well as a collective fault signal.
If any component stops functioning, the increase in temperature will trip the over-temperature alarm. Incorporating two working parts, a solenoid valve to regulate water and a fan unit to circulate cool air, the protected body is said to maximize reliability in temperatures up to 70oC.
Both versions have been constructed using high volume fan units to increase enclosure air exchange rates, and a cooling circuit said to assure high cooling power even with low water flow rates or higher water temperatures. Exchangers are supplied with accessories to allow external or internal mounting the units.
