1W LED PACKAGE WITH LONGER LEADS

Providing lighting design engineers with a new package option for their high brightness surface mount 1 W LED, TT electronics OPTEK Technology has developed a 1 W surface mount LED package with longer leads than its original OVTL01LGA ‘Lednium’ device. Designated the OVTL01LGAxS Series, the new design allows the LED package to be mounted flat on a printed circuit board.
The surface mount LED package offers a 140° viewing angle, features
water clear lenses, and is available in amber, blue, green, red, cool
white (7000K) and daylight white (5500K). The device is suitable for a
wide variety of solid-state lighting applications, including automotive
interior and exterior lighting, architectural lighting, electronic
signs and displays.
The LEDs exhibit DC forward current of 0.35 A, with a peak pulsed forward current of 1 A. Typical forward voltage characteristics range from 2.0 to 3.3 V (color-dependant), and reverse voltage for all devices is 5 V. Maximum allowable junction temperature is 130°C and the device features a thermal resistance of 2°C/W. Operating temperature range is -50° to 85°C. Packages measure 6.00 x 5.10 x 1.56 mm.
